Every project is different, and the time to finish your specific painting service will vary depending on many factor, including size and scope. No matter what the scope of your project, our painters always work as quickly and efficiently as possible. We finish all our painting services in a timely manner and will work around your schedule to minimize disruption.

At Looks Like New Painting, we only use premium, eco-friendly, low-odor paint. Because of this, you are not forced to leave your home or business during our painting process. We can work around your schedule so as to make our services more convenient for you.

We ask that you help us ensure timely services by carrying out a few preparation tasks before we begin your professional painting service. If you have scheduled an interior painting services, we ask that you remove valuables. Also move furniture and other items away from the walls that are to be painted. This includes electrical cords and wires, as well as furnishings, paintings and artwork, TVs and TV mounts, glassware, and other items. If you have scheduled for exterior painting services please make sure all outside furniture is moved away from the building. Also please make sure windows are shut upon arrival for the beginning task of pressure washing. Communications with the client regarding backyard access or some type of access and what their responsibilities are to the painting processes will be paramount to reduce inconveniences to all parties.

Yes we do! We work to keep your home or property in pristine condition or we at least try to make it look like we were never there. By that we just simply mean we clean up after ourselves in a professional manner. We cover your floors and furniture with either plastic sheeting and or drop cloths.

Depending on your particular service—interior, exterior, wood paneling, textured ceiling, etc.—we utilize the ideal painting method to suit your unique needs. Typically, we will handle the prep work, including applying primer. We then apply two coats of paint in a color of your choice with a combination of rollers and brushes. Cabinets are sprayed in order to achieve a beautiful finish. Application methods include airless spray, electrostatic, HLVP (High Volume, Low Pressure), and brush and roll.

It really doesn't matter whether you are painting the interior of your home, exterior of your commercial building, a fence, deck, or any other structure, our professional painters are happy to help you select the perfect finish! We have extensive experience in the industry and can recommend a designer who can help you choose which colors will suit the style of your structure and your personal tastes. Colors should be the least of your worries, it is not the end of the world if changes need to be made.

We provide all our own materials, including premium paint. We will recommend the uses of Sherwin-Williams® products that are low-odor, eco-friendly, and quick-drying. Though there are of course plenty other top tier franchise brands that we don't mind using as well. Rodda and Benjamin Moore are common go to's as well.

Yes, and we recommend you do this before you sell so the paint is still nice and fresh for the buyer. You want your home to "Look Like New" for anyone looking to step into it or walk around it. With bright, warm, welcoming modern color choices you will set the bar for any competitors or neighbors. 

Well because we live in the Pacific Northwest the right paint should add that extra layer of durability. We receive a lot of rain and moisture, houses may attract a lot of dirt from that, and then too much sunlight can bleach your house if it wasn't equipped with the right paint. We recommend Semi gloss, satin, eggshell, and very rarely a flat, paint for outside. 

So sheen means brightness or the way it glimmers correct? High sheens once dry can have more density, meaning less room for dirt, water, and bacteria to penetrate. 

Low sheens mean just as it states low brightness, but with that, less light is reflected and defects are less visible. 

So like with exterior paints you want semi gloss, satin, eggshell, flat, ect, in that order. Though flats can be beneficial in low traffic areas like ceilings or bathrooms to hide imperfections but still give it a clean look.
